Discover how innovative climate-smart techniques are helping farmers improve yields and withstand climate change challenges.
Biodiversity ACT Consortium is a non-governmental organization (NGO) based in Kenya, dedicated to the conservation and sustainable management of the country’s rich biodiversity. Since our founding in 2014, we have been at the forefront of efforts to protect Kenya’s unique ecosystems and the diverse species they support.
Our core mission is to safeguard biodiversity through community-driven conservation, cutting-edge research, education, policy advocacy, and sustainable development. We believe that true conservation success is rooted in local ownership and inclusive approaches that empower communities to be active stewards of nature.
We work across various ecosystems — from the lush montane forests of the highlands and the expansive savannas of the rift valley, to the delicate wetlands and dynamic marine environments along the Kenyan coast. Each ecosystem is vital, not just for wildlife, but also for the livelihoods, culture, and climate resilience of local communities.
Our approach is holistic and collaborative. We partner with grassroots groups, government agencies, academic institutions, and international organizations to develop innovative, impactful, and scalable conservation solutions. Through education and awareness, we aim to inspire a culture of environmental responsibility across all ages.
